This role works directly with senior leaders, mission assurance professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze, assess, and strengthen the resilience of the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).The SME will apply deep operational and staff experience to integrate information environment considerations into mission assurance processes, ensuring that risks to mission and force are clearly understood and actionable at the strategic and operational levels. This position supports enterprise-wide risk synchronization, continuity planning, and operational analysis aligned with Combatant Command priorities.Work is primarily on-site at Scott Air Force Base with limited telework based on mission needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise on Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) as it applies to USTRANSCOM missions and global mobility operationsAdvise on integration of information environment considerations into mission assurance processes and productsSupport mission decomposition, risk-to-mission/force analysis, and identification of critical dependencies and vulnerabilitiesAnalyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to deliver decision-quality insights for senior leadersIdentify critical information, indicators, and recommend Operations Security (OPSEC) countermeasures aligned to mission requirementsIntegrate cyber risk perspectives into mission assurance assessments and coordinate across Combatant Command and Service componentsSupport continuity of operations (COOP) planning, emergency management activities, and mission assurance assessmentsAssess current processes and recommend practical improvements to enhance mission resilience and risk visibilityPrepare and deliver executive-level briefings, reports, and analytical productsEnsure compliance with applicable security, policy, and governance requirementsMaintain awareness of evolving DoD doctrine, information environment concepts, and Combatant Command prioritiesRequired Qualifications8+ years of relevant experience in mission assurance, information operations, cyber, intelligence, or operational planningExperience supporting Combatant Command, MAJCOM, or Joint Staff environmentsStrong understanding of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE), OPSEC, and mission assurance principlesExperience conducting risk analysis and translating findings into actionable recommendationsDemonstrated ability to prepare and deliver briefings to senior leaders (O-6/GO/SES level)Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsActive Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain oneDesired QualificationsExperience supporting USTRANSCOM or Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) operationsFamiliarity with cyber risk integration into mission assurance frameworksExperience coordinating across multiple Services and Combatant Command staffsBackground in continuity planning, emergency management, or critical infrastructure risk analysisExperience supporting or integrating with information operations or influence activitiesPrior military service or equivalent government experience strongly preferredBenefitsCompetitive salaryMedical, dental, and vision insurance options401(k) with company matchFlexible Spending AccountSupplemental benefits including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverageCompany-paid life insuranceEmployee Assistance Program10 paid holidays annuallyResponsible Paid Time Off aligned with mission needsEqual Opportunity StatementC5T is a merit-based employer committed to affirmative action and nondiscrimination for all qualified applicants, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans, in accordance with Section 503 and VEVRAA.Salary: $75000 - $85000 per year
