Job DescriptionCustom Applicator$25-35/hr DOE (Depending on Experience)Day shift (8-10 hour days)Are you a detail-oriented, safety-focused professional looking for an exciting opportunity in agriculture, then we have a position for you! If you demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to safety and quality, along with the ability to maintain equipment effectively, and manage a fast-paced seasonal workload this position could be a great fit for you.Responsibilities:Apply dry and liquid fertilizer, chemicals, lime, and NH3 to customer fields safely and accuratelyMaintain & record maintenance of application equipment, tending equipment, NH3 equipment, pickups, side dress units, etcRecord daily application logs, weather conditions, product usage, and ratesOperate and maintain application equipment, tender trucks, forklifts, and other machineryRead and understand label information and instructions from manufacturers and distributors of pesticides, fertilizers, and other products containing dangerous or hazardous chemicals, products or substances.Assists in inventory managementAssist with fertilizer handling, blending, loading/unloading, and inventory countsFill NH3 nurse tanks and support field applicators as neededLoad, secure, and properly placard outbound shipmentsMaintain warehouse cleanliness and perform general housekeeping dutiesHelp ensure equipment is in safe working condition through routine maintenanceProvide excellent customer service and supportPerform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations, including maintenance, feed operations, grain operations, and general operational tasks Requirements:High school diploma or GEDAgricultural background, training or related experience preferredValid state motor vehicle operator's license with the expectation to achieve a Class A Commercial Driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of employmentMaintain a clean driving record.Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions. Strong multitasking and task prioritization skills.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with co-workersAbility to work independently and unsupervised in (at times) a fast paced environment.
