RMA (Repair) Technician [Santa Ana]
Iteris is seeking an RMA Technician who will be responsible for performing product diagnosis, repairs and service to include: diagnose problems, including problem identification, research of problem, isolation of issue, and completion of resolution. Candidates for this position should be excellent communicators with advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, be detail-orientated and well-organized, and have a very strong commitment. Strong technical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues is needed, with the ability to perform effectively with high quality with little direct supervision.What You Will Be DoingSimulate, emulate and troubleshoot customer's issues and repair or replace the electronic component in a timely mannerProvide detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional test to assist in component-level troubleshootingAdhering to Manufacturing Process instructions or other established procedures during the manufacturing process to produce a quality productFollow all applicable work instructions to perform testing and repair processesTake initiative to identify problems and their root causes as well as participate in implementing solutionsDiscuss problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with manager and engineering staff and recommend solutions to improve work efficiencyEscalate product and process issues to management and help with problem resolutionFollow all corporate, safety and production procedures and regulations and maintains a clean and orderly workstationPerform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of businessMay work longer hours when neededWhat You Need To Be Successful In This RoleHigh School degree or general education degree (GED)Over three (3) years working in a manufacturing environmentOver two (2) years experience with RMA transactions and process handlingTroubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modesAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, written orders and specifications, blueprints, and instructionsFluent domain of the English language: Ability to read, write and speak English wellStrong organization and time management skillsSupport assembly as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesBilingual (English/Spanish), a plusAbility to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)Iteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $25.00 and $28.00 for this role.
