Electrical Panel Builder

Automation Electric and Controls is looking for an Electrical / Control System Technician. We are located in Mount Vernon but service customers worldwide. This position requires a self-starter who can manage him/herself, works well with others, has excellent organizational abilities, and good communication skills. This position will be building and wiring panels for use in aggregate, wood products, food processing and general industrial. Typical Duties and Responsibilities include: - Stocking Inventory - Fabricating electrical control panels - Wiring panels according to electrical prints Skills Required: - Basic understanding of electrical systems - Basic familiarity with power tools Skills Preferred: - Experience with wiring and/or fabrication - Experience with Instrumentation and Process Interfaces (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc). - Familiarity with NEC, NFPA79, and UL standards. - Ability to size wire for motor circuits. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds occasionally. Travel will be required occasionally along with occasional overtime.
