The team supports all aspects of business operations, including but not limited to ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, and accounting.We’re a group of analytical thinkers who use SQL, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Tableau, and other tools to understand and improve business operations. There’s no expectation that the successful candidate has seen everything, but we do require our teammates to dive in, learn quickly, and ask questions.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse Tableau, Looker, and other data visualization solutions to design reports and dashboards for desktop & mobile consumption to assess company performance and drive revenueBuild informative interactive and static data visualizations, online applications, and information graphicsAnalyze in-place processes and seek improvement and deprecations as necessaryCollaborate with business area partners and data scientists in a product manager-like role to understand the potential business value of data sets, the most relevant presentation of the data, and the interactions required to explore the meaning behind the dataUse analytics tools and processes to analyze data, build models, and make business recommendations that will lead to increased revenue generation and cost savingsWork with data analysts, engineers & business teams to tackle technical challenges associated with building fast and interactive visualizations on datasetsA cool head when confronted with new responsibilities, technologies, and deadlinesQualifications2+ years of experience in UX design or data visualization engineering is required (preference given to Tableau)Proficiency in SQL is requiredAngularJS, D3.js, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python Development Experience Is PreferredExposure to a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferredBackground in a quantitative field (Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent experienceExperience with cloud-based solutions (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, etc.) and developer tools and workflows (Git, GitHub, code reviews, etc.)Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to audiences at senior leadership levelsMust be team-oriented, outgoing, extremely motivated, and able to work independently
