Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.The Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role for the IT Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE). This position works on the front line for customer services, support to the IT project management community. The Systems Analyst is responsible for researching, developing, and documenting project management processes and procedures that comply with applicable internal and external policies, standards and best practices. They will support all project and portfolio management systems, responding to customer service requests for systems, process and project management related information. Performing advanced information technology (IT) project management analysis work for projects and systems and will create reports for the IT project management community to improve the quality of project management reporting and provides feedback to foster an environment of continuous improvement.Candidate Skills and QualificationsYears - Required/Preferred - Experience5 - Required - Perform analysis work on project management systems including requirements gathering.5 - Required - Develop reports to monitor progress for metrics.5 - Required - Preparing and defining the goals of the system and devises flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs.5 - Required - Advanced Excel skills to include compiling multiple datasets to gather, assemble, correlate, interpret, and analyze large data sets4 - Preferred - Experience using MS Power BI, Power Automate, and/or Tableau4 - Preferred - Advanced skill in critical thinking and problem solving4 - Preferred - Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting projects simultaneously
