CNC -Set Up Operator

Role SummaryThe CNC Set-Up operator performs complete machine setups, troubleshoots routine production issues, and ensures accurate and efficient production. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to interpret complex blueprints, and accountability for quality and productivity. Set-up operator will also provide guidance to CNC operators, Level 1 and 2.Key ResponsibilitiesRecommend process enhancements to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability Perform full CNC machine set-ups, including tooling changes, offsets and fixture alignment. Ability to operate CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines for production runs. Help conduct first piece and in-process inspections with precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot and resolve routine machining or dimensional issues Recommend and implement minor process improvements to improve efficiency and/or reduce scrap. Document production output, downtime, and inspection results accurately and clearly. Support preventative maintenance programs by identifying wear or recurring issues.
