Automation Controls Programmer (PLC/HMI)

Concentric Corporation is currently seeking a talented Automation Controls Programmer (PLC/HMI) for our client. There are three positions available: one in Nebraska, one in Iowa, and one in Minnesota. This position will be remote, supporting customers through central and western Nebraska. Frequent travel can be expected in this position: 20% of overnight travel within the Midwest. Responsibilities Basic PLC and HMI code development primarily for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems. Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches Support diagnosis of errors or technical problems and help determine proper solutions Produce timely and detailed service reports Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings Assist with control system commissioning including instrumentation and motor control devices. Work with senior level Programming Engineer to learn and develop programming skills. Assist with communications network commissioning including fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies. Complete project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements. Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases as well as for aftermarket support. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Associates degree in Automation related field. Preferred but not required. Some experience and/or interest in electrical components preferably in some of the following: PLC programming such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC systems or the like. HMI programming such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution or similar. Information Technology experience is a plus.
