About the jobThe Sales Analyst is responsible for driving actionable insights across retail customers and channels using retailer POS and syndicated data. This role supports national and key account sales teams by analyzing distribution, velocity, pricing, promotion, and assortment performance to fuel profitable growth and managing reporting across top accounts. The ideal candidate brings experience in CPG analytics, Nielsen/Circana syndicated data, and reporting experience, with the ability to translate data into compelling stories for commercial leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze retailer POS data to evaluate sales performance, distribution (ACV/TDP), velocity, pricing, promotions, and assortment effectivenessLeverage Nielsen syndicated data to assess category trends, competitive performance, market share, and whitespace opportunitiesBuild and maintain Power BI dashboards/Excel based reports, scorecards, and executive-ready reporting for Sales and Commercial LeadershipProvide customer- and channel-specific insights for key retailers (e.g., grocery, mass, club, convenience, e-commerce)Ensure consistency and accuracy across retailer and syndicated data sourcesImprove and automate analytics processes to increase speed, scalability, and self-service reportingRequired Qualifications Include the Following:3+ years of experience in sales or commercial analytics within a CPG environmentStrong experience working with retailer POS data (e.g., Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, etc.)Hands-on experience with Nielsen/Circana syndicated data and retailer data sources (Circana/IRI, SPINS, retailer portals, Numerator)Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookup and managing large sets of dataStrong ability to translate data into insights that influence sales strategy and executionExcellent communication and organizational skillsExperience supporting national or key account sales teams in CPGPower BI experience preferredSQL experience preferredExperience working across multiple channels, including brick-and-mortar and e-commerceKey Competencies Include the Following:Analytical Skills: Leverage insights, competitive trends, and fact-based storytelling to identify opportunities and drive growth.Business & Financial Acumen: Understand the impact of customer and channel performance on overall business results, and adjust strategies to achieve profitable growth.Collaboration & Leadership: Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork, aligning internal and external partners to deliver against company goals.What We’re Looking ForA proactive, energetic team player with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.A strategic thinker who uses data to shape customer strategies and execution plans.A confident communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and acts as a brand ambassador in every interaction.
