About the job Applications EngineerJob Title: Product Solutions EngineerLocation: Wrightstown, WIPosition Summary:The Product Solutions Engineer is responsible for developing innovative process equipment solutions for the food processing and sanitary industries. Serving as the primary technical liaison between customers, sales partners, and internal teams, this role transforms complex requirements into efficient, functional, and cost-effective designs and system layouts. The Product Solutions Engineer leads projects from initial customer engagement through installation support, ensuring all solutions meet performance, quality, and budget expectations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Customer EngagementServe as subject matter expert for challenging product line layout problemsLead product design initiatives and development projects from initial conception through commercializationIdentify equipment opportunities and support proposal developmentDrive design excellence across multiple concurrent product development projectsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners to ensure project success.Project ManagementManage projects from initial customer contact through installation assistanceProvide preliminary drawings and budgetary estimatesCoordinate with Product Design, Estimating, and Project Management teamsDesign & DevelopmentConceptualize, design, and develop custom equipment layouts, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and production feasibilityCreate detailed 3D product models and 2D approval drawings using CAD softwareDevelop tools and templates to streamline the creation of customer layouts and approval documentationIdentify opportunities for prototype development and support testing efforts to validate design performance with customer feedbackProcess ImprovementDevelop and implement advanced product layout processes and standardized development practicesLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and development efficiencyResearch and introduce new tools and processes to optimize product design and integration with sales partnersPreferred Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fieldOver 10 years of experience in food production layout and design developmentOver 5 years of experience leading product integration initiatives3-5 years in the food and beverage, as well as sanitary industries, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practicesExperienced with capturing customer feedback and translating it into actionable product enhancements and innovationsProficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault for design and project documentationAdvanced knowledge of metal fabrication and welding practicesProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointProven project management experience with cross-functional groupsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, verbal and communication skillsSkilled in managing multiple priorities and navigating complex technical challengesDemonstrates strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilitiesComfortable discussing project budgets, ROI, and equipment valueWillingness to travel(10-25%) to customer sites as needed to assess project requirements and gather detailed specificationsPackage Details+ Bonus
