They are also deeply involved in community initiatives and have received multiple industry awards recognizing project excellence and performance.Job DescriptionThe Senior Preconstruction Manager - Multifamily & Commercial will be responsible for:Leading preconstruction efforts for multifamily and commercial projects from concept through GMP and contract executionOverseeing estimating, budgeting, and cost modeling at the conceptual, schematic, and detailed design phasesManaging the GMP process, including scope reviews, value engineering, and cost reconciliationCollaborating closely with ownership, design teams, and internal stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and budgetDirecting subcontractor and vendor bid solicitation, analysis, leveling, and recommendationsDriving value engineering initiatives to optimize cost, constructability, and schedule while maintaining qualityReviewing drawings and specifications to identify constructability issues, risks, and opportunities earlyDeveloping preliminary project schedules and logistics plans in coordination with operations teamsSupporting business development pursuits, including conceptual pricing, proposals, and interview participationMentoring and guiding junior preconstruction and estimating staffEnsuring a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations with clear handoff and documentationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Senior Preconstruction Manager - Multifamily & Commercial will have:8+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management, with a strong mix of multifamily and commercial project experienceProven experience leading preconstruction teams and processes through conceptual design, GMP, and contract executionStrong background in cost estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and scope reconciliationExperience managing subcontractor bid packages, leveling, and buyout recommendationsDeep understanding of construction documents, constructability reviews, and risk analysisAbility to partner closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teamsExperience supporting business development efforts, including conceptual pricing, proposals, and client presentationsProficiency with preconstruction and estimating tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, estimating software)Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)What's on OfferThe Senior Preconstruction Manager - Multifamily & Commercial will receive:Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $150K to $180KLucrative bonus potential paid out annuallyHealth, dental & vision insurance3 weeks PTO401k + company matchContactAmethyst MurilloQuote job ref
