Position Overview
InSync is seeking an *experienced Sterile Processing Manager* to provide operational leadership and oversight for a high-volume Sterile Processing Department. This position will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processing of surgical instruments and equipment while supporting staff development, quality improvement, and collaboration with Perioperative Services and other hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily Sterile Processing operations, including *decontamination, assembly, sterilization, disinfection, surgical trays, and case carts*.
* Lead and develop staff through training, coaching, performance management, and competency development.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance department efficiency and quality.
* Monitor inventory, equipment, supplies, and departmental resources while identifying opportunities for cost savings and waste reduction.
* Conduct and support *quality and regulatory audits*, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective action plans.
* Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, regulatory, accreditation, and Sterile Processing standards.
* Partner with OR/Perioperative Services and other hospital departments to ensure timely and accurate availability of instruments and equipment.
* Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, quality, and patient safety.
* Serve as a subject-matter resource for Sterile Processing practices and procedures.
* Support departmental planning, staffing, budgeting, and operational priorities.
Qualifications
* *Minimum 4 years of Sterile Processing experience* or experience processing reusable medical/surgical equipment.
* *Minimum 3 years of leadership experience*, with or without direct reports.
* Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Sciences, Business, or related field *plus 4 years of relevant experience*, *OR 7 years of relevant healthcare/Sterile Processing experience*.
* *Required certification:* Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
* Strong knowledge of Sterile Processing operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and surgical instrumentation.
* Proven ability to lead teams, develop staff, manage competing priorities, and work effectively with physicians, OR leadership, and hospital departments.
* Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will be a *hands-on, experienced Sterile Processing leader* who can step into a fast-paced hospital environment, provide immediate operational oversight, support staff, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure the department maintains the highest standards for quality, compliance, and patient safety.
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
