Logistics Specialist - 1st ShiftPosition DetailsHourly position based upon experience & skill levelContract with possible contract extension or hireStandard work hours: Mon - Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (after hours and weekend if project demands)Location: Onsite- Client site in New Albany, OHPrimarily Roles & ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. Proactively anticipates and defuses potential customer and vendor problems related to freight, packaging and delivery.Communicate internally and externally regarding transportation requirements.Processes customer requests for industry compliance. Works with suppliers and Product Engineering to ensure that all necessary documents are received and customer requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.Skills, Knowledge, AbilitiesWarehouse operations, inventory control, asset management.Pull, stage, and QA orders for delivery.Receive and put away all deliveries.Receiving goods in SAP.Manage all aspects of the material trackers including reportingResolve AP issues.Tracking of all deliveriesProficiency with SAP (or similar ERP system) and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to recommend and implement process improvementsStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize within many different projectsStrong reporting skillsExcel in time managementEducation/Experience RequirementsRequirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent5 years of experience in similar roleSupervisory Responsibility - NoneThis job description is designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, and responsibilities that are required of the employee; it is not meant to be all-inclusive for any one position.
