Key Responsibilities Food Preparation: Assist in washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, measuring and preparing ingredients for macarons, eclairs, etc., matching macaron shells, prepping and assembling breakfast burrito and measuring ingredients to support chef/owner in meal preparation. Cleaning Duties: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and ensuring workstations are tidy. There will also be basic cleaning of the bakery such as mopping, sweeping and cleaning the front of house. Storage Management: Organize and store ingredients properly to ensure freshness and easy access for kitchen staff. Hygiene Compliance: Adhere to food safety standards and maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination. Chef Support: Assist owner (and chef) with all tasks pertaining to baking, food prep, customer orders Required Skills Basic Cooking Skills: Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in food handling and cleanliness. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with chef and other staff. Time Management: Complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability: Handle various tasks and shifts as required. Bi-lingual Spanish speaker is a plus This position is essentially the assistant and right hand to the owner and chef. This is a woman-owned and run small business and you will work closely with the owner and the rest of the staff. Required hours: Mondays 7am-2pm and Tuesday and Wednesdays 8am-2pm. This position has an available starting time as soon as possible.
