OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and energetic JR Detective Camp Instructor to join our summer program team. As a JR Detective Camp Instructor, you will lead young participants in fun, educational experiences designed to develop their critical thinking and social skills while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. ResponsibilitiesLead children through themed detective activities, games, and challenges that promote teamwork and problem-solvingManage group behavior effectively using classroom management techniques to maintain a positive environmentEnsure safety protocols are followed at all times; provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergenciesSupport children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or additional childcare assistanceFacilitate age-appropriate lessons that incorporate elements of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavioral managementCollaborate with fellow staff to plan and execute engaging camp activities aligned with program goalsMaintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concernsSkillsStrong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and positive learning environmentKnowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situationsExperience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including camp or daycare environmentsAbility to teach and engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or tutoringFamiliarity with special education practices and behavior management strategiesExcellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and team membersPassion for working with children and supporting their childhood development in a fun, safe setting
