OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Java Developer with experience in the Aerospace Industry for a six (6) month contract to hire hybrid role in Bellevue, WA.
Successful candidates must be a U.S. citizen and able to work on location in Seattle three (3) days per week
PAY RATE: $70-$90 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translate high-level system and software requirements into detailed, testable designs.
Develop and maintain Java-based applications (with occasional Python components) for embedded and safety-critical systems.
Apply DO-178C processes throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and compliance.
Conduct and participate in design reviews, code inspections, and formal verification activities.
Collaborate with QA, systems engineering, and certification teams to produce audit-ready documentation and artifacts.
Debug and resolve complex integration issues in both simulated and real-world environments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) to ten (10) years of professional software development experience in Java and/or Python.
Demonstrated ability to deliver software from requirements through design, implementation, and verification.
Hands-on experience with DO-178C or equivalent safety-critical development standards.
Strong grasp of object-oriented design, software architecture, and modular development practices.
Familiarity with tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and static analysis utilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Clear, concise communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
