We guarantee you won't find a better place to work and thrive than at Blueprint.In This RoleIn this role, you will join an engineering team responsible for building and maintaining critical platform services that enable customers to provision, manage, and optimize cloud storage resources at scale. The team supports the management plane of a core infrastructure service and plays a key role in one of the foundational pillars of cloud infrastructure.You will work hands‐on with backend services and automation, contributing to a high‐impact internal capacity management initiative focused on improving efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys building systems, improving automation, and leveraging modern tooling-including AI‐driven workflows-to enhance development productivity.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and automation using .NET / C#Contribute to automation‐focused solutions (not just dashboards), improving internal system efficiency and reliabilityAnalyze system requirements, document technical specifications, and implement software solutions to meet business and operational needsReview and implement enhancement requests and functional specificationsModify and extend existing systems, ensuring alignment with evolving standards and requirementsWrite unit tests, perform debugging, and conduct in‐depth troubleshooting across new and legacy systemsPrepare test plans, test data, and migration packages for system, user, and production testingPerform post‐implementation validation and resolve defects identified during testingParticipate in quality assurance reviews and support production stabilityLeverage AI‐assisted tools or agents to support development, debugging, and automation workflowsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field2-4 years of professional software development experienceStrong coding experience in C# / .NET, with the ability to:Build on existing codebasesDevelop, test, debug, and execute new functionalitySolid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software designExperience designing, developing, and maintaining large‐scale or distributed software systemsProven experience troubleshooting and debugging production systemsAbility to understand and work with scripting languages such as PowerShell or PythonStrong problem‐solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issuesPreferred QualificationsExperience building automation‐first solutions (infrastructure, tooling, capacity management, or operational workflows)Exposure to or interest in AI‐driven development workflows, including using AI agents to assist with coding, debugging, or task delegationExperience working in cloud infrastructure or platform servicesFamiliarity with storage, compute, or networking systemsPrior experience working in large enterprise or highly scaled engineering environmentsBackground working with internal tools, systems, or services that support platform operationsSalary RangeAt Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $46.88 to $51.68 USD/hourly. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
