Key Responsibilities * Lead the design and development of new products, components, and assemblies. * Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and technical specifications. * Perform design calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate product performance and integrity. * Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost-efficiency (DFM/DFA). * Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on performance requirements and cost targets. * Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including Bills of Material (BOMs) and engineering change orders (ECOs). * Support the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of new product development. Recommended Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. * Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, PTC Creo, CATIA). * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication). * Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. * Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative design solutions. Bonus Qualifications * Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD). * Experience or certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. * Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, or shop floor operations. * Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
