This role works directly under the supervision of the General Manager and partners closely with Customer Service, Materials, Engineering, Design, and Production teams to maximize industrial output while maintaining efficient and steady production flow. The Production Optimizer plays a critical role in balancing production loads, reducing waste, tracking backorders, and ensuring materials and schedules align to meet customer demands. As a self-starter with strong organizational and critical-thinking skills, you proactively identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that support smooth production flow.   What You Will Be Doing Define, develop, and document production scheduling and capacity planning processes Optimize and enter glass production orders, ensuring maximum glass usage and minimal waste Use glass production optimization software to balance manufacturing loads Ensure production schedules and run sheets are available per management instructions Monitor and track backorders daily, coordinating with cross-functional teams Maintain and monitor glass and materials inventory to prevent production delays Report damaged products and track defective glass daily Communicate lead times with management, Customer Service, sales teams, and optimizers Provide clerical and operational support to Purchasing and Receiving teams Monitor production delays or issues and notify the Plant Manager immediately when necessary Collaborate with Order Intake, Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams regarding scheduling and cost considerations Provide timely feedback and process improvement recommendations to Senior Management Support production floor teams as needed to maintain smooth operations Skills You Bring 2+ years of experience in manufacturing inventory, production planning, or related field preferred Understanding of demand planning based on product mix Experience managing stock within production schedules Basic knowledge of glass fabrication, manufacturing processes, CNC machining, and assembly Experience with ERP/MRP systems; familiarity with Microsoft AX Dynamics is a plus Strong data entry and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills Technologically adept with the ability to learn new optimization software quickly Data analysis experience preferred Associate’s Degree preferred but not required Strong time management and organizational skills Flexibility to accommodate rush orders and critical deadlines Self-motivated, fast learner, and strong critical thinker Why Trulite:   Trulite offers the most comprehensive benefit coverage in the industry.
