Electrical Estimator

Adamik Electric is looking for an Estimator to join our team. This position will be based out of our North Las Vegas, NV location. Job Description Electrical Estimator manages the bid process, analyze drawings/specification, review proposals/project requirements, coordinate material procurement and ensure compliance with company policies and Federal/State laws. Assist reviewing, evaluating documents and developing accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for variety of different projects. Responsible for reviewing and evaluating available documents and developing accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for variety commercial projects. Responsibilities Reviews scope of work, bill of material, blueprints, product literature, contract, and other relevant project documents to verify job specifics and identify potential problems. Identify and quantify electrical materials, equipment, labor, and other resources needed for project execution. Collect quotes and bids from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for electrical components from construction drawings. Calculate costs for electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, conduit, and related components. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with vendors. Interacts effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, management, and other employees while promoting a positive customer service. Ensure all project deliverables are completed per scope of the project. Working knowledge of AC/DC systems Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical and low voltage schematics Knowledge of process temperature, pressure, flow, and level instrumentation Knowledge of electrical codes. Skills & Qualifications 5 years of verifiable experience with knowledge of construction, design and cost management as an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator or similar position in Commercial Institutional and Industrial Environment. Have thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities. Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel), Outlook, EBM (estimation software), Procore, and Foundation Software Project Management a plus. Well-versed in technology, equipment, and aptitude for quick learning of new software and practices. Ability to work a weekly Monday-Friday schedule in a responsible manner. Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image. Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
