We represent a confidential, defense-focused client dedicated to solving mission-critical national security challenges.About the Role: The Senior Platform Network Engineer performs network support, hands-on system administration, and enterprise-level troubleshooting across Layer 2 and Layer 3 systems supporting next-generation satellite data management capabilities. This role requires deep Linux experience, strong network engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work onsite at the Aurora, CO facility. Some travel (up to 10%) is expected to support installation, integration, and test activities.What You Will DoDesign, deploy, modernize, and support scalable network solutionsSupport network design and development activities to optimize performance across multiple computing environmentsUse Linux command-line skills to deploy updates and configuration changes for Cisco-based systemsImplement switch, firewall, and router configurationsProvide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimizationTroubleshoot network issues and proactively mitigate risksQualifications You Must HaveBS/BA in STEM: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or related field5+ years of professional and relevant network engineering experienceExperience with VMware and virtualized environmentsAbility to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 90 days of hireActive TS/SCI with CI Poly requiredQualifications We PreferAdvanced experience with Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, BrocadeExpertise troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3Experience integrating PKI, LDAP, and other identity/access management systemsExperience with scanning tools and basic automation frameworksSecurity & ComplianceThis role requires an active and transferable DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and CI polygraph.
