Structural Engineer

Title: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER III Location: Plano, TX Pay Rate: $59.00 per hour Contract Duration: 12 months Summary Join our client’s team to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products across advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, integrated aircraft, and orbital space exploration systems. You will analyze complex metallic and composite structures throughout the entire product lifecycle in a dynamic engineering environment. Description – Structural Engineer III Design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services ranging from payloads to space exploration systems. Examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems. Participate in the design and development of new products and processes throughout the full product lifecycle. Perform physical job duties including walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs/steps. Qualifications – Structural Engineer III Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. 6+ years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. Proficiency with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and finite element structural analysis (FEA) software (e.g., MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, ANSYS). Demonstrated experience in static/dynamic analyses, as well as fatigue and damage tolerance analysis using tools such as NASGRO or AFGROW. Ability to perform classical structural analysis using industry-standard hand calculations and author substantiation reports. Solid background in the Aerospace and Defense industry with knowledge of parametric design and model-based definition. Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
