Network Engineer

Network Engineer – Fortinet / AWS / GCP 100% Remote Contract to Hire W2 only, No C2C, Corp to CorpCDW is seeking a skilled Network Engineer for a 1 year, fully remote contract engagement. The Network Engineer should be skilled in Fortinet products, cloud connectivity, and automation tools. This job demands hands-on expertise in designing, configuring, and maintaining high-availability networks with secure connectivity. Key duties include managing data centers, cloud integration, and automation processes.Key Responsibilities:Fortinet Setup and Configuration: Initial setup and configuration of Fortigate firewalls and Fortiswitch switches; manage HA configurations.Cloud Integration: Design IPsec tunnels for AWS/GCP connectivity and maintain GCP Cloud Connect for seamless integration.Data Center Networking: Manage out-of-band networks using Opengear technology and configure Arista devices.Routing and Protocols: Use Wireguard for VPN setups and configure OSPF routing.Automation and IaC: Leverage Terraform for automation and Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; automate tasks using Bash scripting.Qualifications:Experience with Fortigate firewalls and Fortiswitch switches.Expertise in IPsec tunnels to AWS and GCP.Hands-on with Opengear technology for data center management.Strong knowledge of Wireguard and OSPF routing protocols.Proficient in Arista network devices and GCP Cloud Connect.Skilled in Terraform for IaC and Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines with Bash scripting.Preferred Skills:Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.Experience in fast-paced, high-availability environments.Certifications in Fortinet, AWS, GCP, or related technologies are a plus.
