As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.Perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound dressingAccurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical chartsMeasure and document patients' range of motion, strength, and vital signs as neededReport patient status to physicians and other healthcare personnelProvide clear instructions to patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and home exercise techniquesAssist in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical TherapistMaintain technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniquesCollaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomesAdapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs and progressMaintain a clean and safe treatment environmentQualificationsGraduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant ProgramAbility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in GeorgiaProficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniquesStrong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionalsDetail-oriented with excellent documentation skillsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environmentCompassion and patience when working with patients of all ages and conditionsBasic PC skills, including proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systemPhysical stamina to assist patients with exercises and movementsFlexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedulesGoal-oriented approach to patient care and treatment plansEnthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated on physical therapy best practicesNew or recent graduates are encouraged to applyNote: Willingness to work in Folkston, GA is required for this position.Additional InformationCompetitive hourly pay401kMultiple opportunities for professional development, specialization, and leadershipEmployee discount plansFamily-friendly work environmentInvestment from a company that wants you to succeed and thrive
