Truck Service Technician 3 - HOLT Truck Centers

Job Summary: Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of trucks and related equipment.Senior-level position - Generally has more than six years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A level three technician has a broad knowledge of the field's standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is self-starting and requires minimal supervision.The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential Functions:Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionTroubleshoots and diagnoses complex engine malfunctions and failures with direction and minimum supervisionPerforms detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervisionDisassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGsProvides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testingUses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming enginesCompletes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returnsInterprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletinsOperates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificatesAdheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulationsMaintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working orderCommunicates job progress to supervisor and customer as neededWorks overtime as required by workload and customers' needsProjects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearanceActs as a mentor and coach to lower level TechniciansCompletes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety trainingConsistently maintains an average rework of less than 0.5%Ensures a positive average variance consistentlyWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies;
