We connect top engineering talent with high-impact projects in commercial, industrial, and mission-critical environments.Position OverviewWe are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) specializing in Electrical Engineering within MEP design to join a growing engineering team supporting diverse building and infrastructure projects in the West Palm Beach region.The ideal candidate will lead electrical design efforts for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities while coordinating closely with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design for MEP building systems from concept through construction documentsDevelop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system designsPerform load calculations, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, and coordination studiesPrepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and engineering reportsCoordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural teamsEnsure compliance with NEC, NFPA, Florida Building Code, and local utility requirementsConduct field inspections, site visits, and construction administration supportReview shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phaseMentor junior engineers and designersInterface directly with clients, contractors, and permitting authoritiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license required (Florida PE or ability to obtain reciprocity)6–12+ years of electrical design experience in MEP consulting or A/E environmentStrong knowledge of commercial building electrical systemsProficiency in AutoCAD and/or RevitExperience with power distribution and lighting design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, or equivalent)Strong understanding of NEC and Florida Building CodePreferred QualificationsExperience with healthcare, education, municipal, or commercial high-rise projectsFamiliarity with energy code compliance and sustainable design (LEED preferred)Previous experience leading project teams or managing engineering deliverablesStrong client-facing communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision)401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within a national engineering talent networkExposure to diverse, high-profile MEP projectsWhy This RoleThis is a strong opportunity for a licensed Electrical PE who wants to step into a lead design role on varied building projects while working with a respected engineering staffing and delivery partner supporting top-tier clients across Florida and the U.S.
