Extrusion Operator -2nd shift

Position SummaryRubber extrusion operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion machinery used to manufacture rubber products according to customer specifications and quality standards. This position ensures proper material flow, machine flow, machine performance, product dimensions, and overall production efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The operator performs routine equipment adjustments, inspections, and quality checks to ensure finished products meet production requirements and company standards.ResponsibilitiesMills compound, extrudes tubes, performs quality checks, delivers/returns stock carts.Warms up compound on the millsSlit rubber for cold feedUses hand trucks to move skids to/from the mill staging areaFollows operating instructions from the instruction sheetSet up extruder, head, screen, pin/die, temperature settingFeed rubber strips into extrudersUsing OD sheets specifications, check dimensions of extruded tubes and just tooling accordingly to meet specificationsMark each tube with proper identificationsCut tubes on OD sheet specificationsPlace tubes on coresPerform quality checksPlace tubes on stock trucksMark each shelf with proper ID ticketDeliver stock trucks to departmentComplete production reportsDeliver compound to/from extruders to proper storageStripe OD surface with proper color stripeWork safely with all aspects of the positionPay, Benefits, Work ScheduleThis position starts at $21.45 and is eligible to reach top pay by step progression increases.Shift Premium Medical/Dental/VisionBasic Life & AD&D with optional life benefitsSupplement Coverages for critical illness, hospital, and accidentPaid vacationPaid HolidaysShort and Long term disabilityPensionCommunity involvement Education ProgramThis position is from 2pm-10pm Mon-Fri with Overtime when neededEqual Employment OpportunityParker is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
