General Summary Of PositionA Project Manager will oversee the completion of large business projects for Granite’s enterprise clients. They direct teams made up of Project Coordinators and other Granite employees to ensure successful completion of each project. These project managers will focus on the NI business that occurs today with primary responsibility to the field work. A Project Manager is responsible for identifying, promoting and addressing Customer needs and requirements while ensuring alignment within the business. They focus on constructing detailed plans and leading stakeholders from across departments towards successful achievements of each milestone, with the goal of getting projects completed on time and within budget.Duties And ResponsibilitiesConstant communication with Stakeholders throughout the projectChair regularly scheduled stakeholder meetings Ensure project deadlines are met, keeping various tasks moving toward this goalCreating long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesDelegating project tasks to employees best positioned to complete themWorking across departments with teammates and leaders to ensure that all project timelines and requirements are met.Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the projectServing as the main point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergyCommunicating with clients and executives to keep the project aligned with their goalsPerforming quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expectedPotential opportunity for up to 25% TravelRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ worth of relevant business experienceExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to meet project deadlinesExcellent multi-tasking and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsIntermediate (or better) knowledge of MS Office toolsAbility to self-motivate, both for task completion and knowledge increaseAvailability to work outside the traditional 8-5 workday when needed based on project requirementsLeadership skillsDecisivenessThe ability to delegate effectivelyAble to motivate teammates and promote productivityExpectation is that PM reports to one of Granite’s officesPreferred QualificationsBaseline understanding of Routing/Switching relating to networkingWorking knowledge of networking principals such as NAT, DHCP, MPLS networks, and SDWAN conceptsFunctional understanding/experience in IP Voice and SIP messaging standards/principalsPMP CertifiedDeveloped negotiation skills
