Home Access Elevator Project Manager
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
Provides direction and training to technicians including the communication of policies, procedures, and objectives.
Provides technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid installation jobs. Includes calculating labor and material costs.
Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure that installations are being completed efficiently, safely and in a cost-effective manner.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes & reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods.
Plans, directs, and prioritizes lift installations and manpower needs.
Manages jobsites from survey through the completion of the installation and advise on project progress for work not included. Includes trouble-shooting problems with mechanics, performing quality audits and meeting with customers to review progress.
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with clients, contractors, elevator consultants, and architects.
Determines what materials need to be ordered for job completion, and coordinates and arranges for sub-contracting portions of installations.
Makes periodic crew visits to manage safety, site activities and progress of employees and customer, documenting findings.
Registered as the company’s Elevator Mechanic License holder for multiple states.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
Active Elevator Mechanic License with proof of completion of accredited organization.
Low-voltage electrical experience required.
General construction experience required.
Experience reading blueprints/schematics is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Active driver’s license
Excellent customer service skills and experience required.
Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with clients and staff are required.
Experience working independently with minimal supervision is required.
Have 5+ years installing Limited Use/Limited Access, Home Elevators or Vertical Platform Lifts.
Willing to travel throughout assigned territory regularly.
Willing to complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Team player with strong work ethic with a strong record of achievement and drive to succeed.
Take initiative to increase revenue with minimal guidance.
Possess computer skills, including MS Outlook, and Excel.
Demonstrate professional personal and business behavior.
Attend required training and certification.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when rendering assistance during installation.
Will use a designated job aid and/or team lift for any item over 50 pounds.
Must be able to complete general construction related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
