Job DutiesStart Date: 06/21/2026End Date: 07/25/2026Work hours:35 hours/week: Monday - Friday (6 hours/day); Saturday (5 hours/day)~7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.Must Apply By: 07/9/2026Job Duties:Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Detassel Corn- Worker will walk down the aisles between the plants in the corn fields, for the purpose of detasseling seed corn, remove rogue plants, weeds, and volunteer corn plants from seed corn production fields. The worker in order to perform this kind of work must be able to walk miles per day while pulling the tassel from each corn stalk, must be able to work long hours a least 6 hours a day in all kinds of weather, hot humid weather ,rain and be exposed to pollen the whole day and be in possession of the requisite strength and durance, working quickly and skillfully with their hands. Days of work may very due to weather conditions. Workday is spent outdoors and one's feet almost all day.Minimum Education RequiredNone. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026).
