Senior Project Manager

***Position will be remote and local work located in the Chicago, IL Area***ResponsibilitiesManage scope, schedule, and budget for a variety of environmental projects including site investigation/characterization, environmental compliance, due diligence, and environmental permitting projectsComplete Phase I/II environmental site assessmentsAssist with the management of remedial action projects for commercial and industrial property developers, law firms, financial institutions, and utilitiesPlan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate site testing and formulate recommendations for projects of different sizes and complexitiesIdentify, evaluate, and recommend additional actions, as necessary, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulationsPrepare and review technical documents including reports, proposals, and regulatory agency correspondencesMentor and train junior staff membersProvide excellent customer serviceAssist with client development and business planning preparing cost estimates and proposalsMaintain knowledge of the processes for site investigations, remedial alternative studies, and work plan implementationsUnderstand and possess experience with remediating sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents, metals and free product (LNAPL & DNAPL)Interpret geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental dataIdentify and develop new business opportunitiesWork collaboratively with clients, other SET offices, and environmental regulators on project related workParticipate and build on health, safety and environment policies and procedures in the execution of all workMay require some regional travel for site visits, up to 10%. At times, may be required to stay multiple days depending on the needs of the projectPerform other miscellaneous duties as necessaryPosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Science, or closely related disciplineMinimum of 10 years of project management experienceWisconsin/Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) or Geologist (PG) is a plusDemonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule, and deliverable performance. PMP certification is a plusDemonstrate experience in researching and understanding administrative code, voluntary programs, and compliance with federal and state regulations to support designing and implementing investigations and remedial alternatives in various statesFamiliarity with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Tiered Approach to Corrective ActionFamiliarity with communicating to the client in business terms the environmental and regulatory liabilities and associated implications pertaining to the associated transactionDemonstrated experience in the Site Remediation ProgramDemonstrated experience in the scoping, costing, and writing successful proposals, work plans, investigation, remediation, and design reports, and conducting business developmentMust be able to work in a fast-paced, uncertain, high-pressure environment with the ability to change directions and scope quicklyStrong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing experienceProficient computer skills, including MS Office SuiteMust pass a local, state and federal background checkMust pass DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening#J-18808-Ljbffr
