Teacher K-8 SY 26-27 Elementary Teacher (Kindergarten–8th Grade)Location: Willie Jeffries School of ExcellencePosition Type: Full-Time, ExemptReports To: PrincipalPosition Overview:The Teacher K-8 for School Year 2026-2027 is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades K–8. This role involves planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.Assess student performance and provide feedback.Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.Participate in professional development opportunities.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices.Uphold school policies and procedures.Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education or related field.Valid South Carolina teaching certification preferred.Knowledge of K-8 Education best practices.Strong classroom management skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
