Celebrating 20 years since first opening its doors in London, Zuma is sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese Izakaya style of informal eating and drinking. Co-founded by Rainer Becker and Arjun Waney in 2002, Zuma has 15 venues globally and 9 seasonal locations. Featuring modern Japanese cuisine that is authentic but not traditional. The menu showcases a variety of dishes from its three kitchens: the main kitchen, the sushi counter and the robata grill. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the Social Media & Marketing for the US region - creating, developing, executing, and maintaining marketing and social strategies to meet agreed company objectives. The role will create and implement the marketing strategy whilst overseeing the management of all social channels, content creation and community management across our regional Zuma locations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work with the Global Head of Brand & Communications, to create and implement the marketing and social strategy for the region Brainstorm, develop and deliver creative ideas for key calendar events, creative initiatives and brand partnerships that amplify our brands’ reach Leading the development of the monthly content calendars across all locations, including planning, creation and implementation of scheduled social posts Leading and identifying email marketing content for the regions; providing copy, imagery and design brief to Global CRM Manager Identify local marketing opportunities for each city, build relationships and actively promote collaborations on a B2B level to drive covers, this could include, but is not limited to, key local businesses, concierges, local events, and festivals Day to day management of the contracted PR company, managing journalist bookings, editing quotes and interviews requested from the operational team, sending releases to Global Head of PR for sign off. Drive and direct the digital strategy and performance of our own websites in conjunction with the Global Digital Consultant, brief campaigns and assist with written and visual assets including website updates and news pages, paid media for Google and Social Manage the B2C online third-party profile of our brands; identifying appropriate listing sites and ensuring all information on all platforms is up to date with menus, opening times, descriptions, and images. Provide partners with new information and initiatives to keep our brands in the spotlight. Keep the relationships with key account managers warm to secure coverage Brief and manage internal photo and video shoots for marketing, social and PR related content, ensuring all are in line with our brand guidelines Manage all external filming requests and shoots; ensuring that any opportunity is achievable within the remit of the operational running and that the film in question is on brand with our restaurant’s identity and our desired demographics. Provide detailed function sheets for any approved filming and supervise when possible Provide quarterly marketing and social reports to the Global Head of Brand & Comms of campaign performance and data insights across all platforms In-depth reactive & proactive community management Display a good understanding and passion for emerging trends in the hospitality industry – Be on the pulse with trends and content opportunities to be responsive & reactive with ideas through social listening Experience in dynamic content creation (IE: branded stories/editing reels/infographics/use of Canva) Copywriting & editing including briefing graphic designers and printers to ensure that collateral is delivered within brand guidelines Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor, health, and safety laws Operate ethically to protect the image of the company Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Minimum two years’ experience in a similar social media/marketing role, preferably for a luxury hospitality brand Experience in Marketing, Digital, Data, Advertising, PR, Communications and Campaigns A creative flair and the ability to brief and project manage both internal and external partners from concept development through to final execution Excellent English language skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills and strong content writing ability Excellent organisational skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst working to tight deadlines with keen attention to detail Aware of the industry at large; can identify key trends and opportunities, up to date with new openings, active interest in US events, fashion, music, and film Proactive, positive, and self-motivated Ability to build strong relationships at all levels Experience of budgeting would be beneficial BENEFITS & PERKS Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Free family meal daily 50% off dining discounts at Zuma The opportunity to work on a team with global hospitality/culinary experience Zuma is an equal opportunity employer.
