Day-to-day tasks include maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role will help prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning and performance monitoring.Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools, with strong Excel skills and the ability to work with data efficiently.Candidates should possess knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance practices to help maintain accurate and reliable financial records.Candidates should possess strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and leadership teams.Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and experience in a controller or senior accounting role; experience in construction or real estate development is a plus.Additional beneficial attributes include high ethical standards, attention to detail, comfort working on-site, and openness to learning and professional growth.
