Position: ControllerJob SummaryOur growing design and integration firm is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the company’s full-cycle accounting and financial operations. This individual will play a key leadership role responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, reporting, payroll, cash flow management, and operational accounting processes.The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing accounting functions within a fast-paced environment and possess hands-on expertise with QuickBooks, financial reporting, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and multi-state sales tax filings. This role requires a highly organized professional with strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to support executive leadership with financial visibility and operational insight.We offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career growth with a leading design and integration firm within the material handling industry.Position ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activitiesMaintain company financial records and ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation of transactionsProcess and manage bi-monthly payroll through QuickBooksPrepare and process monthly and quarterly multi-state sales tax filings across 37+ statesGenerate, review, and manage purchase orders through QuickBooksMonitor company cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performancePrepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for accuracy and complianceManage company financial accounts, cash receipts, expenditures, and operational accounting processesMaintain and monitor employee PTO, vacation, and sick day recordsSupport HR-related administrative functions including benefits administration, insurance coordination, and 401(k) programsIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance financial processesCollaborate with leadership on financial planning and business operationsRequired Skills & QualificationsProven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar senior-level accounting roleMinimum 5 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience managing AP/AR, payroll, and financial reportingStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial compliance, and operational accounting proceduresExperience handling multi-state sales tax filings and payroll processingExperience within construction, manufacturing, integration, logistics, industrial, or project-based environments preferredProficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience supporting HR and employee benefits administration is a plusExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
