This firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) with company match, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, a flexible schedule, and professional development support.Responsibilities of the Litigation Attorney:- Manage a full caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution- Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategy- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other litigation materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in court proceedings involving various areas of tort law- Collaborate with legal staff to maintain organized, efficient case files and workflows- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and case developments to provide informed legal counsel- Represent clients in motions, hearings, and trials in both State and Federal CourtRequirements of the Litigation Attorney:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school- Admission and good standing with the South Carolina State Bar- 4–6 years of Litigation experience- Strong legal research skills with proficiency in Westlaw and LexisNexis- Excellent legal writing and drafting abilities- Experience working in a law firm or litigation-focused environment- Solid understanding of litigation procedures in both State and Federal Court- Strong negotiation skills- Working knowledge of South Carolina tort law- Trial experience, including jury trials in South Carolina, preferredCompensation for the Litigation Attorney:- 401(k) with employer match- Health, dental, and vision insurance- Flexible work schedule- Paid time off and parental leave- Professional development assistance- Relocation assistance (if applicable)
