Job Requirements/Qualifications: Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve Capable of using diagnostic tools and able to repair mechanical and electrical systems in automobiles. Capable of inspecting and test components for wear and damage. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, etc. Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles. Meet or exceed hourly goals Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes Professional appearance and strong communication; both written and verbal A desire for long-term career development Must have and maintain valid driver's license. Must have their own tools. Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools Walk/stand for the majority of their workday Drive manual transmissions vehicles Efficiently navigate a computer Responsibilities: Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with shop and factory standards to drive customer satisfaction. Communicating with Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage Customer communication. Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer. Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles. Documenting work performed on each vehicle within our computer system on the repair order.
