Senior Cell Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Lithium-Ion Battery CellEngineer to play a key role in driving innovation and decision-making in our fast-pacedstart-up environment. This position requires broad expertise in battery cell design, theability to navigate ambiguity, and a commitment to developing cutting-edge energystorage solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and optimization of lithium-ion battery cells,focusing on performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.Make critical decisions in complex and ambiguous situations to guide productdevelopment and strategy.Oversee cell fabrication, testing, and performance validation, ensuringscalability and manufacturability.Conduct in-depth analysis of materials, chemistries, and failure mechanisms toimprove cell performance.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and manufacturingteams to meet project milestones.Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical growthand innovation.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintaincompetitive advantage.Qualifications:Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a relatedfield, with 10+ years of experience in lithium-ion battery development.Extensive knowledge of cell design, electrochemical principles, and materialscharacterization techniques.Proven ability to lead projects and make decisions in evolving environments.Hands-on experience with battery fabrication, testing, and manufacturingprocesses.Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
