Host/Hostess - Fine Dining

Since 1978 Christy's Restaurant has been serving Coral Gables locals and visitors alike. Christy’s provides a classic steakhouse experience from their famous Caesar Salad to the Baked Alaska which is flambeed tableside. The intimate dining rooms with modern artwork set the tone for incredible food and flawless service in the heart of Coral Gables. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Average 20-25 hours per week. Tuesday through Saturday with Sunday and Monday off. Host / Hostess - Restaurant Responsibilities: High school diploma or GED Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry Positive attitude and interpersonal skills Good communication skills and phone etiquette Flexibility when working alternating shifts Ability to stand for long periods of time Host / Hostess - Restaurant Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry Positive attitude and interpersonal skills Good communication skills and phone etiquette Flexibility when working alternating shifts Job duties include: Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Ability to Commute: Coral Gables, FL 33134 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Coral Gables, FL 33134: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
