About the Role:
The Parts Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the parts department by managing inventory, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service. This position is responsible for accurately tracking parts availability, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting technicians and customers with timely parts delivery. The Parts Manager will maintain organized records of parts transactions and assist in inventory audits to minimize discrepancies. By effectively managing parts flow, this role contributes to minimizing downtime and supporting overall business productivity. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems or databases.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
Prior experience in a retail, warehouse, or parts-related role is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using parts management or inventory control software.
Knowledge of automotive, industrial, or mechanical parts terminology.
Customer service experience in a parts or retail environment.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and supplies accurately.
Process parts orders for customers and internal departments using inventory management software.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts to ensure availability.
Assist customers and technicians by identifying and locating required parts promptly.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to place orders and track deliveries.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to parts transactions and inventory adjustments.
Support the parts department in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Skills:
The Parts Manager uses organizational and communication skills daily to manage inventory and interact with customers and suppliers effectively.
