Payroll Accounting Technician

Job DescriptionJohnson Service Group is looking for an Accounting Technician for one of our clients in San Jose to assist in payroll. This person will be responsible for reviewing timesheets, processing payroll transactions, and ensuring accuracy in systems such as Infor Payroll. Supports payroll operations by handling deductions, preparing ACH files, responding to staff inquiries, and maintaining organized records. Responsibilities: Review timesheets and adjustments for each pay periodEnter transactions and correct errors in Infor PayrollProcess garnishments, stipends, and union duesAssist with ACH file formatting using Infor MHCRespond to payroll inquiries from staffFile and archive payroll documentation Qualifications:Excel proficiencyComputer proficiencyDedicated, persistent, and detail-orientedAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingWillingness to learn Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by 12 semester units in accounting, business administration, or a related field.Three (3) years of experience in accounting recordkeeping, such as accounts payable, payroll, or general ledger support.Valid California Driver's License 6 month contract $35.78 JSG offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.
