Manages/directs the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several non-IT business applications and disciplines.
Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.
Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines.
Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion. Provide tracking, reporting, and presentation to management and users. 1-6 years experience
Location: Alameda - 100% onsite Looking for an early career candidate with 4 years of experience and a
Bachelors' degree in Business or Technical type of degree Experienced in Project Management as this will deal with external Stakeholders, Partners, Suppliers, etc.
Will work on Process Improvement projects; must know how to navigate PM tools and be able to adapt Does not need a MD background but someone from an R&D PM background and Software Technology background are good candidates

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline appropriate to the project or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
Has successfully led several high complexity projects from beginning to end.
Demonstrated technical skills and management judgment appropriate to the project.
Demonstrated expertise in PM tools and processes.
Demonstrated expertise in leading process improvement initiatives
Primary function:
Formulates, harmonizes and consolidates project scopes, plans, strategies, and budgets for one or more projects, working closely with functional Project Managers and other Subject Matter Experts from R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and other functions.
Confirms the ongoing strategic rationale and value proposition for projects
Leads project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of projects.
Plan, coordinate, integrate, and drive projects associated with functional and divisional needs (e.g. on-market product changes, new product introduction launches, and for corporate initiatives)
Drive continuous improvement programs that deliver on the business strategy and drive higher performance across the organization.
Prioritize activities across multiple projects to balance resource availability, project status and schedule, and business need. Work with functional leadership to anticipate and solve problems, and work to break down barriers to success
Liaises with other Project Owners, functional managers, and management to prioritize activities across programs to balance resource availability, program deliverables and schedule, and business needs.
Liaises with other Project Owners, functional managers, and management to monitor business processes
Identifies areas for process improvement, and defines and implements solutions, liaising with other stakeholders such as Project Owners, functional managers and senior management as appropriate
Ensures that the cross-functional members work as a “team” focused on business unit goals identified and managing program and solution interdependencies.
Champions PMO best practices to drive better project planning, execution, project prioritization and change management within Commercial Programs
Conducts Program Review Meetings with Affiliates and Provide Regular updates
Supports Product Roll Outs and Geo Expansion Projects
Establishes and monitors KPIs to assess delivery performance
Develops strategy, prioritization, and plans for improving consumer experiences in hardware, mobile / web products and services
Preferred
Experience in Project Management for a Hardware, Software or Medical Device company preferred (but medical device background is not required)
Experience leading process improvement initiatives utilizing PMO tools such as Atlassian/Jira, MS Project, or an ERP system
Understanding of New Product Introduction / product lifecycle
Experience leading in an AGILE environment
Require the ability to collect information from multiple sources, synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues
Require strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across companies to align plans and resolve conflict
Require process-oriented thinking, focused on continuous improvement and lessons learned; have demonstrated ability to define and implement complex and interdependent business processes
Require strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Has general knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg. FDA, ISO, QSR design controls)

Pay: $56.00 - $58.00 per hour
