Remote Data Process and Automation Analyst with Financial ServicesOur client, a leading financial services organization within Alternative Investments operations, is seeking a remote consultant to support operational automation, reconciliation, and data process improvement initiatives across accounting and fund operations teams. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, technology-minded problem solver who enjoys improving operational workflows, working with large datasets, and automating manual processes within a fast-paced financial operations environment.The primary focus will be supporting automation and reconciliation initiatives tied to the Xceptor platform, helping the business manage and process high volumes of operational and accounting data more efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport operational automation and process improvement initiatives across Alternative Investments accounting and operations teamsWork closely with Client Stakeholders on reconciliation and workflow automation efforts within the Xceptor platformMonitor and organize operational inbox tracking workflows and data intake processesUtilize Xceptor to extract, process, reconcile, and manage high volumes of financial and operational dataInput and validate data within Xceptor and support downstream imports into the AltPro systemPerform data mapping and reconciliation between systems where naming conventions and identifiers may differAnalyze highly manual operational processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvementsBuild and maintain Excel-based automation tools, reconciliation workflows, formulas, and macrosAssist with operational reporting and reconciliation support for portfolio/accounting processesCollaborate directly with business and accounting users to improve workflows and reduce manual effortOperate independently while proactively identifying process bottlenecks and proposing scalable solutionsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong Excel skills including:SQLPython scripting or automation toolsExperience with process automation or workflow improvement initiativesExperience working with operational data ingestion and mapping across systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience working with large datasets and operational workflowsAbility to learn complex business processes quicklyComfortable navigating ambiguity and figuring things out independentlyStrong attention to detail and process orientationAbility to bridge operational/business needs with technical solutionsSelf-starter mentality with strong communication and organizational skillsComfortable working in high-volume, deadline-driven operational environmentsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsFinancial services, accounting, treasury, or fund operations experienceReconciliation or portfolio accounting exposureExperience with Xceptor (Acceptor), Geneva, AltPro, or similar financial operations platformsIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is someone who:Enjoys solving operational problemsNaturally curious and proactiveAble to automate manual processesComfortable working with large amounts of dataLearns systems and workflows quicklyCombines business process thinking with technical aptitude
