Job DescriptionLoveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA) is a world-class facility. The Aquarium provides learning opportunities for all levels, interests, and ages. Since opening its new facility in Draper in March 2014, the Aquarium has welcomed over eight million guests and provided innumerable educational experiences to students. Home to almost 5,000 animals representing 600 plus species and an additional 600 plus plant species the Aquarium showcases ecosystems from around the planet including kelp forests, coral reefs, the deep ocean, Antarctic waters, Asian cloud forests, South American rain forests, and the waterways of our home state of Utah.The Cafe Cook is the individual behind the amazing smells each client and guest encounters. Our cooks take pride in ensuring that our food is prepared as directed and follows Food Safety Guidelines as directed by Department of Health (DOH) and Aramark's policies and procedures.This position is considered an Hourly/Part-Time EmployeeJob ResponsibilitiesCooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipesSets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment - communicates quickly when a need arises to ensure productivity continuesPrepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items (as needed)Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixersBakes, roasts, broils, steams, grills, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foodsArranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelinesEnsures compliance with food temps and documentation throughout eventCleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils - as per guidelines and policiesEnsures clear and concise communication with stand leads, stand workers and cashiersMaintains excellent, friendly, and efficient customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workersEnsures security of company assetsAccepts constructive feedback and provides ideas, concerns to and from leadershipThe above listed bullets do not contain a comprehensive listing of all required activities, duties, or responsibilities.
