Journeyman Electrician

OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will leverage your extensive electrical experience to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations. Your expertise in blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical codes will drive successful project completion while adhering to safety standards and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your hands-on skills with power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment. ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and residential environments, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. Work on construction sites performing wiring, conduit installation, low voltage systems, high voltage setups, and renovation projects. Collaborate with project managers and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams to coordinate tasks effectively. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols related to electrical systems, including proper handling of high voltage and low voltage circuits. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and materials used for project documentation. QualificationsValid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in residential and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code), schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Construction site experience including renovation projects; familiarity with framing carpentry is a plus. Strong understanding of safety standards related to electrical work including proper handling of high voltage systems. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience or general construction knowledge is advantageous.
