Test Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesTest Execution: Perform functional and power testing on PCBAs and electronics control boxes.Advanced Troubleshooting: Lead failure analysis to the component level using schematics and diagnostic tools.Instrumentation: Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, and signal generators.Data Management: Record test results, identify failure trends, and report to engineering teams.Process Improvement: Contribute to DFM/DFT reviews and refine test procedures.System Integration: Assist with cable harness management and electromechanical assembly.Required QualificationsEducation: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or equivalent experience.Experience: 5+ years testing complex electro-mechanical or optical systems (aerospace, medical, etc.).Technical Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and wire lists; SMT and PTH soldering skills.Software: Proficiency with Linux/Unix command line interfaces.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Automation: Experience with Python scripts for automated testing.Tools: Familiarity with PLM, Jira, Confluence, and ERP software.Specialization: Background in RF testing or high-precision analog control.Certifications: Industry standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620.BenefitsCompensation: Variable bonus and equity component.Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance.Retirement & Time Off: Matching 401K and unlimited PTO.Perks: Home internet stipend and parental/adoption leave.
