Shift Leader

Firehouse Subs is not an ordinary sub shop. We are a fast-casual restaurant chain founded by real firefighters with a passion for serving hearty, flavorful food with genuine hospitality.We are hiring Part-time and Full-time **Shift Leaders / Shift Managers** for both day and night shifts as we expand into Wisconsin. This role is a great fit for someone with experience as a **shift lead, team leader, restaurant manager, kitchen manager, or assistant/general manager** who enjoys leading people, running strong shifts, and delivering excellent guest service.As a Shift Leader, you will be a Firehouse Subs brand ambassador and help coach, teach, and develop team members while keeping standards high for food quality, speed, and cleanliness.Your main responsibilities are:- Maintain proper appearance and set the tone for a professional, positive shift- Lead by example with a friendly attitude and strong customer service- Greet all customers with our "Welcome to Firehouse!" greeting and ensure a great guest experience- Coach and support team members throughout the shift (training, feedback, and accountability)- Maintain superior knowledge of our menu and products and help the team do the same- Help manage shift execution: prep, service flow, task prioritization, and team communication- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant using daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists- Communicate with teammates in a professional, fun, and positive attitude- Support food preparation as directed by management staff, and ensure food safety standards are followed consistentlyBenefits that Firehouse Subs Crew Members enjoy:- No grease, grills, or headsets- Easy hours: no early mornings or late nights- Industry competitive wages- Rewarding and fast-paced team environment- Reliable schedules- Training and development- Excellent long-term growth opportunityPrior experience (helpful, not required):- Shift leader, team leader, key holder, or supervisor experience- Experience in restaurant management or kitchen management (fast casual, fast food, or food service)- Experience coaching and developing team members during busy shiftsREQUIREMENTS- Top-notch customer service skills- Friendly, outgoing personality- Honest and motivated to get the job done well- Previous restaurant/hospitality experience not required- Ability to lead a shift with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detailAbout Firehouse Subs:Firehouse Subs is a fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in hot subs, made right.
