Mid-Level Project Scheduler Our client located in Austin, Texas close to downtown is in need a of a Mid-Level Project Scheduler to work on a big mulit-year transportation project. This is an onsite direct hire opportunity. Company Profile: Transportation Mid-Level Project Scheduler Role Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 Support a major transit infrastructure program, including expansion of new rail lines connecting downtown Austin to the airport and additional east-west corridors Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables across long-term infrastructure projects Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and evolving project conditions Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts; provide mitigation strategies and recommendations Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading Support baseline schedule development and ongoing schedule validation Generate reports and dashboards on milestones, progress, and performance metrics Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling insights to support decision-making Ensure alignment with industry best practices and internal scheduling standards Manage multiple priorities within a large-scale, multi-year program Mid-Level Project Scheduler Background Profile Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field 3–6 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (required) Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, resource loading, and schedule analysis techniques Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, transportation, or engineering projects preferred Exposure to cost controls and earned value management (EVM) is a plus Familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Benefits Long-term project stability (anticipated 6–8 year program timeline) Opportunity to work on a high-visibility, city-shaping infrastructure project Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off and holidays Career growth through involvement in large-scale transit development
