Senior ETL Developer

Position Title: Sr ETL Informatica DeveloperPosition Location: Preferred: Strongsville, OH, Secondary- Pittsburgh, PA,but open to all tech hubs. Birmingham, AL Dallas, TX and Phoenix, AZPlease prioritize Strongsville and Pittsburgh.Remote/Onsite: Onsite 5 days a weekAcceptable time zone(s): EST and CSTDays of the week: M-F (some weekends if needed)Working Hours: 8a-5p ESTOT: On an as needed basisIntended length of Assignment: Through May 14,2027Contract to hire only W2 Function of the Group: Informatica, ETL and Database DevelopmentInitiatives/Projects: Informatica, ETL and Database Development, AnalysisIndustry background: Banking or finance: preferredTeam Dynamic: Team of Development Crew (at least 10 people)- will be working with other teams throughout Cient as well.Roles and Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings for enterprise data integrationBuild and support data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenterExtract and process data from mainframe sources and other sourcesImplement complex data transformations and business rulesWrite and optimize SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuningWork with relational databases such as Oracle, etc.Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and provide supportEnsure data quality, accuracy, and completenessCreate and maintain technical documentation (mappings, workflows)Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and application teams to clarify data requirementsMust Have Technical Skills:Hands-on experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenterStrong experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise-scale data pipelinesProven ability to work with relational databases such as OracleSolid understanding of data integration from mainframe sources, including VSAM, flat files, COBOL copybooks, and DB2Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuningExperience implementing complex data transformations, business rules, and data quality checksKnowledge of ETL job monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support processesStrong background in technical documentation, including ETL mappings, workflows, and design specificationsAbility to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, QA, and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsExperience ensuring data quality, accuracy, and completeness across enterprise data systemsFlex Skills/Nice to Have:JavaKaftaJiraCI/CD pipelinesConfluenceSoft Skills:Customer focusedManaging riskGroup Problem solvingEducation/Certifications: Bachelor's degreeInterview Process: Initial interview- virtual with hiring manager, 2nd interview- in-person (or virtual depending on location)- panel, 3rd interview- if needed.
