Warehouse Associate
Overview
Beckon Worldwide is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic business. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, receiving, quality control, shipping container builds and heavy equipment operation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with familiarity with warehouse management systems and equipment such as table saws, power washer, forklifts, and pallet jacks. The Warehouse Associate will contribute to maintaining a safe and organized facility while supporting various functions.
Responsibilities
Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate stock levels and order fulfillment
Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, saw, and overhead cranes
Load and unload shipments efficiently while ensuring proper handling of materials using appropriate equipment
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and quality standards
Assist in shipping & receiving processes, including verifying incoming goods against purchase orders, and quality checking parts from vendors
Build, clean, and refurbish shipping crates
Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation to maintain a safe working environment
Support warehouse supervision in implementing process improvements and maintaining compliance with safety regulations
Experience
Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred
Hands-on experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, or other heavy equipment is highly desirable
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control tools is advantageous
Knowledge of hand tools and wood working equipment
Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of machinery used in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
Experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling techniques
Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or load/unload activities
Previous warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management systems enhances candidacy
